Simple past tense is a kind of tense which is used to describe events or action that happened already in a certain time in the past.
The Pattern :
1. Affirmative Form
S + V2 + complement
Example :
I went to Tangkiling yesterday
2. Negative Form
S + did not + V2 + complement
Example :
I did go any where las night
3. Interogative Form
Did + S + V1 + complement + ?
Example :
Did you go last week ?

Past Continous Tense :
Past continous tense is a kind of tense that is used to describe an event or an action which was hapening in a certain time in the past.

The Patern :
1. Affirmative Form
S + was/were + V-ing + complement
Example :
He was writing a letter at eight o'clock last night
2. Negative Form
S + was/were not + V-ing + complement
Example :
He was not writing a letter at seven o'clock last night
3. Interogative Form
was/were + S + V-ing + complement + ?
Example :
were you writing a letter at eight last night ?

Past Perfect Tense
Pas perfect tense is aa kind of tense that is used to express an action or an event that had happened before the other event or action happened.

The Pattern :
1. Affirmative Form
S + had + V3 + complement
Example :
We had eaten before they came
2. Negative Form
S + had not + V3 + complement
Example :
They had not eaten before we came
3. Interogative Form
Had + S + V3 + complement ?
Example :
Had they eaten before we came ?
